Monday’s meeting at Alan and Liz’s

Thoughts from Liz….

This morning 5 of us prayed at our home – really focused on this week’s meetings, for guidance and wisdom and for God to use all the main folk involved and also all of us at Claremont.

I felt is was a really lovely way to start the week – open house for prayer!

Prayer time at the church specially for children

Dear all

Prayer time at the church specially for children: Weds 18 October, 5.30
- 6.30.  Anyone else welcome too of course, but we will try to do some
activities designed to help children praying for the redevelopment.

Hope to see you there

Mark

Daniel 9:17-19

“Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”

So where and when can we pray?

Redevelopment update – Pray! Pray! Pray!

Shropshire Homes meet with Council officials on Thursday 19th October to discuss their proposals for the Rowleys House site including redevelopment of Claremont Baptist Church. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to serve Shrewsbury town centre in Jesus’ name from new premises ‘fit for purpose’ and it is important that we all play our part in prayer. Here are some pointers to help. Please pray;

  • That God will act through these proceedings and show His will for Claremont BC
  • For the officials involved that God’s will be done
  • For the witness of the Redevelopment Team as we work on the project
  • That our representatives at the meeting achieve the best interests for Claremont BC
  • For all of us at Claremont that we can rise to the challenge of representing Christ in the town centre if He grants us this opportunity.

The aim of this blog is to inform and encourage those who belong to Claremont Baptist Church as we pray for God’s guidance and intervention as we seek to redevelop our church building.  It will be regularly updated with news of developments and prayer events.
